11 months old

All ready for church...
The make-up brush discovery
Yum!

Nap

I had to post this bootie up picture. It cracks me up when babies sleep with their legs tucked in and bums in the air. How can this be comfortable?

MRI fun times

Elliana had to have an MRI done last week because she has a huge melon! Her head size has always been off the charts and it continues to grow and be off the charts. I was laughing with my mom the other day and said, "Mom, if there were 100 babies in the room the same age of Elli, she would have the biggest head of them all!" Poor little girl! The doctors tell us that she should grow into it by the age of 5. Anyway, to get the MRI she had to be put to sleep under general anesthesia. She was such a trooper and the staff at Phoenix Children's Hospital were great. She was a little fussy when she woke up and starving. She drank and drank and drank and wanted that darn IV off!
Thank goodness for pacifiers!
This is a crusty nose/face shot of Elliana on her 11 month mark. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. It breaks my heart how fast our little girl is growing up.

Family Pool Time

As part of the reunion we went swimming at the Power Ranch pool. This was Elliana's first time in a floaty and she loved it.
This is the most adorable little baby. Audrey is Nate's sister's little baby who in this picture is only 1 month old. Look how cute this swim suit is!

More Family Reunion stuff

We went on a photo scavenger hunt and this is one of the pictures. We had to find 3 different hats and then take a picture. There were ten items on the list we had to find. It was a lot of fun.
The girls got to pamper themselves with a pedicure and trip to my dad's hair product warehouse. It was so fun to leave the kids and husbands behind for a morning of girl stuff. The picture is of us after we had our nails done...Katherine (Nate's youngest sister), Karen (Nate's mom), Emily (Nate's oldest sister), Lindsay (Nate's brother's wife), and me.
As another activity we did a white elephant gift exchange. We had an hour to shop at Walmart for the "best" gift we could find for $5. Nate and I came up with this bathroom delight. We thought it was funny because Elli wanted to hold the plunger we were buyging.

Family Reunion

The last weekend in May Nate's family had a reunion here in Arizona. We did lots of fun activities and played hard all weekend long. Kristine, Kevin and Spencer were not able to make it and they were missed, but the rest of the family was here. This is a picture of the people who went up to some place in the desert, which I can't remember where, to have dutch oven dinner and peach cobbler. It was very tasty and fun to spend time with family around the campfire.
The next day we spent doing acitivities at the house. We did bubbles for the kids and they loved it!
This was the cooler that held the water balloons and this is where Elliana spent at least an hour hoovering over. She stood there and just kept sticking her head way down inside.

Elliana is at it...

Elliana went to town at Grandma Johnson's a few weeks ago and made this wonderful mess. Look how content she is!
Our poor little girl has been to way too many doctor's visits and really just hates them all. Who wouldn't? This picture of her back is from when she went to the allergist. They put this grid on their back and scratch it with a few things that are common allergies. We found out she is allergic to dogs, cats, birds and really any animal and then milk, which we already knew about.
This picture is kind of ghetto, but I can just blame it on Nate because he got her ready for the day. :) I had to work and then after I picked up Elliana for her appointment to see the hemotologist. We thought she had some blood issues but at this appointment we found out everything seems to be okay. We follow-up in two months. She has been poked more than 10 times! Poor thing. It is so hard to do blood work on a baby less than one!
